You know how much I love wine. And I don’t need to tell you that I love ice cream too because who doesn’t?

You put wine and ice cream together, then add blueberries… Are you imagining what I am saying here? I am talking about a way to spoil yourself during this holiday season, or any day. Really.

All you need to do is to dump frozen blueberries, vanilla ice cream and crisp white wine with a few ice cubes in a blender. Turn it on for 30-45 seconds.

It’s like drinking a blueberry smoothie or a blueberry shake. But it’s definitely an adult version. With the wine perfectly blended in the drink, it totally hits the spot!

If you like it creamier, add more ice cream. Have a sweet tooth? Add some sweetener like simple syrup or light agave nectar. I found that a splash of lemon juice makes this wine slush extra refreshing.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1 cup white wine (I used Pinot Grigio. Sauvignon Blanc will work too.)
  • 1/2 cup vanilla ice cream
  • 8 ice cubes
  • Simple syrup or light agave nectar to taste (optional)
  • A splash of fresh lemon juice to taste (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine blueberries, wine, ice cream, and ice cubes. Blend for 30-45 seconds, or until smooth.
  2. Add simple syrup or light agave nectar and lemon juice if desired.
  3. Serve in chilled wine glasses.
